Hello Friends and Family,
I’ve been busy rehearsing for the Holly Jolly Follies and the Messiah. How different could they be? Had a GREAT call with friends from Chicago & Minnesota! We are definitely missing our friends and family from the “lower 48” as we now call y’all.
I finally went into a bar here in Haines, I know, I know, most of you can hardly believe that it’s taken me 8 months-LOL! I went to the Bamboo Room! Which, I guess they call the “P bar” to rehearse for Santa Baby! Didn’t have anything to drink but it is a fun looking bar.
I was busy making my own wrapping paper, so I didn’t get to go, but Steve and Seeley and Dacotah went to the Holiday Parade in Haines…. Steve said it was not quite a “Holidazzle” or even a parade! There was a fire truck with Santa and a “Snow Dragon”.
On Sunday we had an Open House and served Tom & Jerry’s & Cookie-chauteries! It was lovely and we had about 20 people stop by. We have some Tom & Jerry batter left over…so come on up and help yourself!
We have a big weekend coming up, The Messiah at 3PM on Saturday and the Holly Jolly Follies on Sunday at 4PM! We have been practicing and practicing and practicing for the Follies but it seems that we are doomed to sing the wrong verse at the right time or do the wrong move at the right time…we have been having A LOT of fun practicing and I hope we will be able to include the video on our next blog!
On a very different note, I want you to realize where we live…You CANNOT buy Sudafed in Haines, AK and you cannot get it mailed to you from a different pharmacy because you have to be there in person to show them your driver’s license…It’s SO RIDICULOUS!!!! One of the FUN? Challenges that we face here in Haines.
Seeley has taken to giving us harmonica and drum concerts…she’s hilarious. Steve and Seeley decided to make brownies while Dacotah was waling Lego. They had a fun time in the kitchen. Jaxon is doing well in Chatanooga and he had a fun haircut the other day. He’s certainly a cutie.
We are still happy and healthy and want to wish that you have a beautiful Advent season!
